Influenced by the holocaust and the piling up of dead bodies, similar thing that occurs still to this day to hundreds of animals. 

What happens to these animals is exactly what happened to the thousands of humans years ago. How is something so inhumane and disgusting still happening? Is it because they aren’t humans so not deemed as equal? Whatever the reasoning, I created this piece to highlight that and to bring to light that animal are treated like objects just like humans were years ago.

I used silicone to replicate pig skin, I thought because of the colour and texture it was the best material to use to mirror it. I also used an orange to create the pore effects on the skin. To create the stamps, I laser cut and used alcohol based red marker. Using the number 13 because it is a number that people associate with bad luck.
